The softness of velvet, enveloping neighbors

▲ ‘The 2nd Yeongdo Velvet Korean Clothing Fashion Show’ was held in the afternoon of the 4th at the Velvet Culture Complex Gallery Yeongdo Daum in Samdeok-dong, Jung-gu, Daegu City with about 250 people in attendance.

This fashion show, which was held as one of the donation culture program ‘Amazing Velvet’ conducted by Youngdo Velvet (CEO Byung-seon Ryu), was held to raise scholarships for local youth, and celebrities from Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province actively participated.

At the fashion show, which started at 6:00 p.m. that day, 52 people, including Kim Won-ok, wife of Daegu Mayor Kim Beom-il, Kim Chun-hee, wife of North Gyeongsang Province Governor Kim Kwan-yong, and Sohn In-rak, president of the Yeongnam Daily, stood on stage as models. The theme of this years fashion show is "Happy Life," and various costumes such as Western clothes, Hanbok, and religious clothes were presented with the meaning of transcending gender, age, religion, and time using velvet products that do not change over time.

On this day, local celebrities walked the stage wearing velvet fashion products (clothes, bags, shoes, and other accessories) made in their preferred designs, and a classical music concert was held prior to the event, attracting the attention of the audience.

The guest invited to this event made a donation in the form of an admission fee, and the group participated in the scholarship donation with a golden rod instead of a wreath. Youngdo Velvet plans to deliver all proceeds and donations, excluding pure production costs, as scholarships to 108 local youths at the end of this year.

Lee Yoo-soon, director of Youngdo Velvet, said, "To practice sharing, we successfully held a fashion show with local celebrities this year following the 1st Korean Fashion Show prepared in September last year. I hope that this event, along with the meaning of sharing, will help revitalize the textile industry, which is a major industry in the local economy, and expand the base of velvet,” he said. “We will continue to develop the fashion industry using textile materials produced in the region.” said.
